If someone had told me at the beginning of this year that I would be leaving NTT DATA Business Solutions for another business challenge, I would have called that person crazy. 

My response would have been: “Why should I go to another SAP partner? I know what I have here, it’s a great organization, I love my colleagues, the main supplier is the same and so are the challenges. No, I’m staying right where I am, I have it way too good in my current job…..”

But after working in the SAP ecosystem for 18 years, 9 of which were at NTT Data Business Solutions, I am leaving and joining Infor Benelux  on December 1st. And that can certainly be called a “leap of faith”….

Colleagues, customers, prospects, partners and other relations know that I made the final switch from OnPremise to Cloud / SAAS a number of years ago. I made this move purely out of the conviction that companies benefit the most from solutions that are based on industry standards, with out of the box business scenarios, can be implemented with the least possible effort and risk and therefore have a the shortest time to value. 

Cloud / SAAS, and then in particular Public Cloud solutions meet these for me very important values. And it has proven itself. The customers that my team and I served over the course of the years have achieved these benefits and are therefore more than ready for the future. In short, the promised value has been delivered. Long live SAAS and Public Cloud!

But why then to make the switch?

“It takes a leap of faith to get things going. It takes a leap of faith you gotta show some guts. It takes a leap of faith to get things going. In your heart you must trust”

The above lines come from a song by Bruce Springsteen (my hero) and explains why I am going to make the switch to Infor. Sometimes you just must make the jump. You don’t just need some guts, but also the confidence that it is the right thing to do at this moment in life. Guts I need to put in myself, the confidence is already there. 

Confidence in Infor as an organization, the extensive industry knowledge, the Public Cloud Strategy, the associated implementation methodology, the go to market model for 2022 and above all the clear goals and ambitions that have been set. This combined with a broad and deep installed base in the various focus industries make me confident to make the jump!

I am very much looking forward to being part of the Infor family from December and to move into a bright future with them.  

And my colleagues at NTT? I will sincerely miss them. It is because of them that I can take my leap of faith, that I can make the jump. They know what they have meant to me, thank you all from the bottom of my heart.
